Dorothy TurekOwner & FacilitatorHorse love and the meaning of life: these twin themes seem to intertwine at various points throughout my story long before I ever thought to become certified as an equine-assisted learning facilitator. I was a very shy girl who found her courage and voice with a small black mare exploring the backwoods of Northern Alberta. Then our teenage daughter experienced bullying on her own sports team that our "Unicorn" Shatir helped her through.
After a long-term career, I was driven to do something more, to make a true difference for those in search of answers to life’s bigger questions and spiritual reconnection within. I had always loved horses, so, listening to my intuition, I followed my higher calling and became certified as a facilitator for equine-assisted learning and energy balancing and wellness in humans. Customized for individuals looking to enhance their wellness, intuitive growth and abilities or groups like persons at risk, first responders, small business teams and corporate executives, Centaur Wellness offers an array of programs all designed to build valuable skills and increase your self-awareness of the internal triggers blocking you from the success, abundance, and life mastery you deserve. Working alongside Theresa Coombs of Unbridled Equines, we also offer horse-led transformative energy balancing and wellness sessions for individuals. And for the horse owner I offer the exclusive workshop “Horse Talk” - where we uncover the secrets of equine communication to enhance connection between horses and their owners. As the owner of Centaur Wellness, I empower individuals and groups alike to fulfill their true potential through the spirit-healing synergy of horse and human. |
Theresa Coombs
Co-Facilitator & owner/facilitator with Unbridled Equines (Beaumont, AB)
Theresa Coombs was born with the “horse gene” and a natural desire to be around horses despite not growing up with them. It was through a unique and very generous opportunity in high school that she was able to start learning to ride and work with them. After receiving her BScN in Nursing from the University of Alberta in 2010, Theresa went on to work in Emergency Departments throughout Alberta. She bought her first horse (Dakota) after graduation, and since then her herd has grown to include: Jack, Bonnie and most recently Sugar. Theresa decided after several years that it was time to blend her passion for helping people and horses together in a unique way that made a real and lasting impact especially when it came to at-risk individuals. In March 2022, Theresa became certified as an EAL facilitator from Equine Connection- The Academy of Equine Assisted Learning Inc near Calgary, AB. Her home based business is family owned and operated, just outside Edmonton, AB. Through partnering with her horses, Theresa’s mission is to help empower others to move forward by successfully building skills that are essential for life! www.unbridledequines.ca
